Norfolk Artists & Friends exhibit at Yale

Sponsored by the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, some 32 artists recently held a very r successful weekend exhibit at the At Barn on the Battell Stoeckel Estate. The work displayed ranged from furniture makers to painters and photographers to jewelry makers. “Everyone stepped up to the plate,” says Ruthann Olsson, one of the organizers and a participating artist, noting that they even painted the galleries. “We arrived with our long-handled rollers and in one hour and 45 minutes, we stormed those two galleries and painted the walls. We were amazed at how well it all turned out.” The Artists & Friends are happy to report that they have been invited back to do it again next year. They will also be holding an exhibit at the Norfolk Library in December.
