Norfolk Then Comes to an End

Ann Havemeyer, curator of the Norfolk Historical Society, has decided to end her series, Norfolk Then with this issue, and even though she says she does not “need any recognition,” we at Norfolk Now would like to take a moment to salute the amount of work that she has put into producing our end page these past five years.
She undertook many hours of tireless research and the result has been a series that our readers often refer to as a favorite. Havemeyer has decided to move on to concentrate on projects of a more personal nature and we wish her lots of success in her new endeavors.
No decision has been made yet as to how we might rework the last page. Suggestions so far have included Norfolk Lost and Found, printing a detail from a photograph taken in Norfolk and asking readers to guess where or what it might be and to run childhood photographs of now-adult Norfolkians.
If our readers and subscribers have any ideas, we would love to hear from you. Please send them along to Norfolk Now, P.O. Box 402, Norfolk, CT 06058.
