Community Picnic at Immaculate Conception Church

The day was punctuated by rain, but the fourth annual Norfolk Community Picnic, hosted by St. Martin of Tours Parish at the Immaculate Conception Church, was not dampened.

A large group, about 150 people, turned out to enjoy the many fun activities, which included a clown, pony rides, face painting and mechanical bull riding. A bountiful, free picnic was served under a large tent. The Irish band Erin Og, from Boston, provided musical entertainment, although they first had to be rescued by parishioners when their truck broke down in Granby. The day finished with a mass at 5:00, and providentially, the sun came out at the climax of the mass.
