Revalued Property Assessments Will Be in the Mail Soon
The assessor’s office, with assistance from Appraisal Resource Group (ARG), is in the final stages of revaluating all Norfolk real estate for the October 1, 2018 Grand List. Notices on assessment changes will be mailed by mid-December. Residents who disagree with the assessment, will be provided the opportunity to discuss the values with ARG in early January and/or file an appeal with the Board of Assessment Appeals. Further information will be available on the assessment notices.
Residents who have recently had a change in mailing address need to be sure to update your contact information by emailing norfolkassessor@yahoo.com as soon as possible. Anyone who has not received an assessment change notice by the end of December should contact the assessor’s office right away. The assessor’s office is located in Town Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
