A Fireside Chat With “Officer Clemmons”
On Sunday, Feb. 3, at 4 p.m., François Clemmons, singer, storyteller and, as Officer Clemmons on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, one of the first African-Americans with a recurring role in a children’s television series, will speak at the Norfolk Library. Clemmons recently retired as Middlebury College’s artist-in-residence and director of its Martin Luther King Spiritual Choir. Please register for this program by calling the library at 860-542-5075.

Mondays at the Hub
On Feb. 4, engage in an interactive discussion with Jane Williams and John Fiorello of the Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest CT on how entrepreneurial concepts can have a high impact on success. On Feb. 11, Janet Carlson, of One Eleven Group, will explain how to begin the process of coaching oneself to success by creating healthy habits, identifying strengths, crafting a roadmap and much more. On Feb. 25, Amy Wynn, executive director of the American Mural Project in Winsted, will discuss how arts and cultural assets play a role in making communities vital, relevant and attractive. Winter Farmers Market
This month’s Saturday farmers markets are on Feb. 9 and 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Town Hall.
Ben Luxon and Charles Fidlar Poetry Program
On Sunday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m., Ben Luxon and Charles Fidlar will present a program of poetry at the Norfolk Library, “American Poets Who Broke the Mold,” including works by Vachel Lindsay, Wallace Stevens, E. E. Cummings, William Carlos Williams, Robinson Jeffers, Marianne Moore and T. S. Eliot.
Good-Natured Cooking Class

Concert of Brazilian Music
Celebrate the Carnival season at the library! On Saturday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m., the Berkshire Bateria Escola De Samba, a unique musical ensemble, will perform a wide variety of music from Brazil, including hot samba rhythms and cool bossa nova jazz.

Thursday Classic Film Series at the Library
A Soviet submarine gets stuck on a sandbar off the coast of a New England island in the 1966 award-winning comedy “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming!” starring Alan Arkin and Carl Reiner, to be shown on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m.

Teen Movie and Pizza Night
Teens are invited to come to the Norfolk Library on Friday, Feb. 22, at 5:30 p.m. for pizza and a screening of “The Hate U Give,” the PG13 film adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel by Angie Thomas. Traveling Lantern Theater Company
The Traveling Lantern Theater Company will present the puppet show “Dorothy in the Land of Oz” at the Norfolk Library on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m.

Chamber Music at the Library
On Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m., Jim Nelson of the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival presents a program featuring musicians from the Yale School of Music. Designed to be fun and engaging, the program is an opportunity for both the experienced concertgoer and the classical music novice to enjoy an informal discussion of chamber music. Historical Society Exhibitions During WIN Weekend
The Norfolk Historical Society will present two special exhibits for Winter WIN.  “Crystal Portraits: Norfolk in the Ice Storm of 1898” and “Stuck Indoors,” a display of children’s toys from the 1890s. The museum is open on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, Feb. 24, from noon to 4 p.m.
