Tax Relief and Exemptions
Information on tax relief programs for the elderly (over 65 as of Dec. 31, 2017) and on rebates for totally disabled homeowners and renters is now available from the Assessor’s Office or on the town website, www.norfolkct.org. Tara Yard of Norfolk was convicted in Litchfield Superior Court of larceny in the first degree, a class B felony. On March 29, she was sentenced to eight years of jail, suspended, and five years of probation. Yard, an assistant secretary in the Norfolk Selectmen’s Office, will retain her position at Town Hall.
