Children must be<br>accompanied by a parent or guardian, and it is fine for young children to participate for only the first<br>half hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Art at the Library: Deborah Hanson Greene<\/strong><br>Watercolors by Deborah Hanson Greene will be on display at the library during the month of April. A<br>resident of the Berkshires, Greene paints primarily still-life studies and landscapes en plein air. A<br>reception for the artist will be hosted by the Library Associates on Sunday, April 7, from 4 to 6 p.m.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Solar Eclipse Glasses<\/strong><br>The Norfolk Library has a supply of ISO total solar eclipse glasses in children\u2019s and adult sizes. Stop by in<br>advance of the solar eclipse on April 8 for a free pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Meet-Up with Botelle Admins<\/strong><br>On Tuesday, April 9, from 6 to 7 p.m., Botelle School Superintendent Mary Beth Iacobelli and Principal<br>Lauren Valentino invite the community for an informal forum at the Norfolk Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Mindfulness Series with Miranda Lee<\/strong><br>April is stress awareness month, and it\u2019s a great time to discuss what stress is and how to manage it<br>using meditation, movement and breath-work. Mindfulness practitioner Miranda Lee continues her<br>classes via Zoom from 9:15 to 10 a.m. on Fridays. Sponsored by the Norfolk Library, it is open to all to<br>join at any time. Registration<br>required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Decluttering Class<\/strong><br>Join Nancy Deutsch, the Empathic Organizer, at the Hub on Friday, April 19, from 2 to 3 p.m., to learn<br>how to turn decluttering challenges into a satisfying archeological dig of uncovering, recovering and<br>discovering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Books &amp; Boots Hike<\/strong><br>The Books &amp; Boots hike will be held Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m., along the Billings Trail\u2019s Tait Section.<br>Hartley Mead and Bina Thomson will lead the group in assessing the trail\u2019s animal crossings while<br>discussing Ben Goldfarb\u2019s book \u201cCrossings.\u201d It is not necessary to have read the book first, and all hiking<br>abilities are welcome. This Norfolk Library program is in partnership with the Norfolk Land Trust as part<br>of the Norfolk Earth Forum. Meet at the Norfolk Hub, and bring a pair of work<br>gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Gardening 101<\/strong><br>The Norfolk Library will host the Litchfield Master Gardener team on Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m., for<br>helpful tips on gardening and free seed packets. Return your passport to be entered into a statewide drawing for a $200<br>Visa gift card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Teen Job Fair<\/strong><br>The Teen Advisory Council at the Norfolk Library will host a Teen Job Fair on Saturday, May 11, from 3 to<br>4:30 p.m. The event is an opportunity for local businesses to find part-time and seasonal employees<br>aged 15 to 19. The event is free for both employers and teens.
