The Play’s the Thing

A recent presentation by members of the Isabella Eldridge Club, “When Shakespeare’s Ladies Meet” was met with enthusiastic applause at the end of its performance in Battell Chapel. The one-act comedy (for the fair sex), was written by Charles George.

Pictured here are Shakespeare’s ladies: back row, left to right, Margaret O’Malley in the guise of Portia (Merchant of Venice), Betsy Gill as Katharine (The Taming of the Shrew) and Louise Davis as Cleopatra (Anthony and Cleopatra). Front row, left to right: Nancy Herzig who portrayed Ophelia (Hamlet), Annie Gill as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet) and Chris Hanley as Desdemona (Othello).
