New Christmas Tree Planted on Village Green

The big Christmas tree on the village green across from the Norfolk Library is strung with lights each year, the focus of the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. But as it threatens to grow too large to fulfill its role, a new tree has been planted in its shadow, eventually to replace the current tree. The young tree was donated by Ted Hinman, who planted and staked it on a recent day in May.
