Eye on Town Government

On the evening of July 26, about 150 Norfolk residents assembled in front of Town Hall for a special town meeting to vote on whether Norfolk should enter into an agreement with Lodestar Energy to develop a solar array at the transfer station site. First Selectman Matt Riiska and representatives from Lodestar were available to answer questions. After about 40 minutes of discussion, town members present voted overwhelmingly in support of the motion, with only a handful of nay votes. The project now goes to review by the Connecticut Siting Council and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
