Can Infinity Bistro Return?

By Andra Moss

Neighbors: if Norfolk is to have an evening restaurant, now is the time for action. GoodWorks Entertainment Group, owners since 2019 of Infinity Music Hall and Bistro, is inviting the town’s input on whether and how to reopen a restaurant at their property.

GoodWorks will throw wide the doors of Infinity Hall for a full community gathering on Thursday, May 14th, at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to help re-imagine Infinity’s dining and other experiences. There will be a building tour, snacks and music for maximum inspiration.

The meeting comes on the heels of renewed interest in seeing whether Norfolk could again support evening dining. The Infinity Bistro, unable to sustain itself post-Covid with limited menu offerings and hours, closed in 2022. The company has since confirmed that it is actively looking for an operator to take over the restaurant, perhaps on a Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule.

Attempts to discuss the restaurant’s future were stymied by an earlier lack of communication with the venue, but since the operations baton has passed to GoodWorks cofounder Dave Rosenfeld, based in Fairfield, Conn., open dialogue has returned.

Rosenfeld has responded to invitations to meet with various Norfolk residents to discuss their ideas for the restaurant, bar and historic music hall and is said to have spent time in Norfolk on his own speaking with people about community-driven partnerships.

Opportunities to help shape the future of such an important local cultural and economic resource don’t come along often. Now is the time, Norfolk, to get creative.

For Infinity Hall—and the town—to thrive, they need to hear from us on what can be supported and sustained. The May 14 gathering should be a forum to speak openly, float those “what-ifs” and, literally, bring your best ideas to the table.
