The first day of school dawned cool and cloudy, but no one seemed to notice. Students arrived at Botelle Elementary School on Aug. 26 via bus, car and firetruck (complete with siren). Some students, like Daphne Rutolo who walked her older sister to the bus, will have to wait for the start of the pre-Kindergarten program in two weeks. Jennifer Rodgers, a new member of the Botelle staff, greeted children who arrived by bus at the school’s lower level. They tumbled out of the bus, offered a high five and then disappeared into the building to start the day. Botelle’s enrollment stands at 62 students, an increase of seven over last year
