From Botelle to the Big Stage: Norfolk Thespians Shine at Sharon Playhouse

Norfolk is home to many talented young artists, and three local performers are proving that dedication and a love of theater can take you far beyond the school stage.

Botelle Elementary School students Adilyn Keyes and Fiona Padua and Botelle Theatre alum Chloe Keyes are sharing their talents this summer with audiences at the renowned Sharon Playhouse. Sisters Chloe and Adilyn Keyes recently took the stage alongside a talented cast of young performers in “Matilda Jr.,” where their hard work, enthusiasm and commitment to theater were on full display. The spotlight will shine on yet another Norfolk performer when Fiona Padua joins Adilyn Keyes in “Shrek Kids,” opening Aug. 15. For all three, this journey began with their experiences at Norfolk’s Botelle Theatre. Their accomplishments are a reminder that local arts programs give children an essential place to discover their voices, build friendships and develop a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
